Hometown Philly band Make a Rising has been drawing much praise and attention on the back of their crazy but rewarding sophomore record Infinite Ellipse and Head with Open Fontanel. Um, right. Titles aside, the music contained within does pretty well to defy any genre label placed upon it. At times progressive, with hints of Zappa xylophone runs, and some definite indie jamming, Make a Rising sounds like a celebration of sound. That's the best I can do to describe it. They are in the studio recording their third record to be released later this year. Enjoy a tune AND an awesome video below!
