There weren't many surprises in Pitchfork's top 10 records of the 2000s, or really on the entire list for that matter. Most could be found on Pitchfork's year end round ups and "best new music" features. At least that says something for consistency. Whatever your thoughts are about Pitchfork, this list is notable and will, of course be debated throughout the blogosphere and over beers this weekend. Just a heads up - PopTartsSuckToased has been compiling a pretty solid top 100 of the decade as well. Check it out.
