Standard Fare: "Philadelphia"

It's not always easy to communicate straight-forward stories or emotions through lyrics and melodies. Yet, on the new single "Philadelphia" from Sheffield's Standard Fare singer Emma Kupa puts the listener directly in her shoes -- shoes that happen to reside in England while her boy (or girl) of interest lives in Philadelphia. Haven't we all been in this situation? A quick visit to a city, passionate 48 hour love affair -- then the ultimate realization that it will be a year before you see them again, if you ever do. Often the feelings fade as quickly as they came, but Emma and co., have given us a fantastic song that captures that moment of departure simply, and sweetly.

You need to listen to the lyrics more carefully. She is in Philadelphia and the person she wants to be with is in Israel.
