Johnny Flynn: "Kentucky Pill"
We've been big fans of Johnny Flynn since his excellent 2008 Mercury release A Larum. His resonant, smooth, and very-English, vocals are clearly the selling point for Mr. Flynn, but his compelling melodies and diverse instrumentation consistently deliver and remind us that people have been playing jangly, banjo-tinged, folk-rock before Mumford and Sons came along to dominate the world. Flynn's new record Been Listening has been driving our friends across the pond wild (shocker), and finally sees release stateside on October 26th via Transgressive/Thirty Tigers. US tour dates after the jump, including a 10/22 date during CMJ at Music Hall of Williamsburg.
