Craft Spells' Idle Labor is the epitome of a Spring/Summer album. It's sticky sweet in the daylight hours; its hooks infectious, subtle, and outstandingly rewarding. As you approach dusk though, Idle Labor morphs into a more introspective and pensive outing than one would've expected. Usually we rely on backporch country to set the mood on those humid late-August nights, but we may have just found a new decidedly non-acoustic record to fill some of those lazy hours instead. Idle Labor is out now on Captured Tracks.
