We've been thoroughly enjoying the new Patty Griffin - American Kid - out today. There's a poignancy and emotion to these tracks that make this album of her most striking efforts in recent memory. Griffin isn't breaking the mold here, but exemplifying why she does it better than most of her peers. Below is "Ohio" the excellent duet w/ hubby Robert Plant. No shocker here, this recalls his excellent collaborative Americana record Raising Sand.
