Originally hailing from Monkey's Eyebrow, Kentucky a real place on the Ohio River and border to Illinois, new comer Kelsey Waldon moved to Nashville to attend Belmont Univ and today join the ranks of Stark Online female county-rock staples such as Caitlin Rose, Tristen, Nikki Lane and more. Her new album The Goldmine (June 24) ranges from the title track with its melancholic homespun narrative "I don't want the goldmine / I don't want what you got / I just want to be alright" to the fast picking pedal steel of "One Time Again" below. Just getting the album yesterday, we need to digest it a bit more - but it should be a fun one. She's doing some local touring, but national dates hopefully soon. Thanks Marissa Moss.
