First discovered at Grimeys on a bellyful of hot chicken and beer - Hiss Golden Messenger's last record Haw soundtracked an excellent Nashville trip a year ago. After signing to Merge, Hiss will release Lateness of Dancers, its fifth studio album, on September 9th. With a warmness and depth - the early offerings including "Lucia" show a band and songwriter reaching their stride - though, no matter what, they will always sound better when full of hot chicken.
